Hassan Kahal
I am a clinician working in diabetes since 2008. In addition to diabetes, I have a special interest in obesity and polycystic ovary syndrome. I am passionate about improving healthcare through collaborative working, shared decision making, and person-centred care.
Attending the Knuston diabetes counselling course in 2016 had a significant impact on the way I practice medicine and how I communicate with patients, in particular in the diabetes and obesity clinics. In 2022, I had the privilege of becoming a faculty member and to play a part in the ‘’Knuston project’’ of working with healthcare professionals to promote diabetes-self-management, and person-centred care.
On a personal level, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children, reading, and meditation.
